IDAGIO Global Concert Hall: Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with the Freiburger Barockorchester

Pablo Heras-Casado joins the Freiburger Barockorchester to conduct Beethoven’s extraordinary Triple Concerto, featuring violinist Isabelle Faust, cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras and pianist Alexander Melnikov. Recorded in late June at Teldex Studios in Berlin, the concert will be streamed via IDAGIO’s Global Concert Hall, on Thursday, July 23 at 20:00 CEST.

This exclusive concert was captured during a recording session of the work, as part of Heras-Casado’s series of recordings celebrating the work of Beethoven with harmonia mundi. These include the recently released (and upcoming) Symphony No.9, Choral Fantasy and the complete Piano Concerti, with Kristian Bezuidenhout, Nos. 2 and 5, already available, and No. 4 to arrive at the end of August. The new Triple Concerto recording will be released in early 2021.

Following the performance, classical music journalists Eleonore Büning and Manuel Brug speak with the conductor and soloists about the creative approach to this recording. Learn more about this exclusive event via the Global Concert Hall.
