Returning to St. Petersburg, Pablo conducts Szymanowski and Sibelius with Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra

Following last December’s performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, Pablo Heras-Casado returns to St. Petersburg to lead the Russian ensemble once again on January 29, 2014. The Spanish conductor opens his program in the Mariinsky Theatre’s Concert Hall with Karol Szymanowski’s First Violin Concerto, featuring violinist Alena Baeva. The concert also sees Pablo leading Sibelius’s Symphony No. 2.
