Pablo Heras-Casado conducts his second Lucerne Festival concert of the summer on Saturday, September 1, leading the Lucerne Festival Academy Ensemble in a program of music by Philippe Manoury, Isabel Mundry, and Michael Jarrell. Manoury’s Strange Ritual – a representation of the calculated confrontation between order and chaos – opens the evening, followed by Mundry’s Gefächter Ort for Violin and Ensemble. Jarrell’s La Chambre aux Échos, which takes its title from Richard Powers’ novel, closes the concert.
