On Tour with Anima Eterna Brugge

This week, Pablo Heras-Casado will begin his collaboration with the period-instrument orchestra Anima Eterna Brugge. Starting this summer with a series of concerts in Grafenegg, Hamburg, Bremen, Ravello, Besançon, and Brugge, together with Anima Eterna, they will present Bruckner’s symphonies over the upcoming seasons. The program of this tour will start with Bruckner’s Seventh Symphony, one of the best-known works by the composer. The orchestra will play with the same instruments, strings, and orchestral forces used in Bruckner’s time, including the famous Wagner tubas. The second concert will open with Brahms’s Tragic Overture at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.
