Pablo Heras-Casado closes the Palau de la Música de Valencia Season

On June 23, Pablo Heras-Casado will close the Palau de la Música de Valencia Symphonic Season with a concert featuring works by Eduard Toldrà, Matilde Salvador, and the Sixth Symphony by Tchaikovsky.

Leading the Orquestra de València at the Teatre Principal de València, Heras-Casado will conduct a program that includes Toldra’s ‘Vistes al mar’, a selection of songs by Spanish composer Matilde Salvador performed by mezzo-soprano Nancy Fabiola Herrera.

The last piece of the program, also known as the Pathétique Symphony, was conducted by Tchaikovsky and premiered in St Petersburg on October 28, 1893. The last of his symphonies and the first time Heras-Casado will perform this piece.
