Pablo Heras-Casado conducts the Münchner Philharmoniker with pianist Alexander Melnikov

After the success of Pablo Heras-Casado’s L’incoronazione di Poppea at the Wiener Staatsoper, the maestro will be conducting the Munich Philharmonic on June 12 and 13. The program includes Louise Farrenc’s Overture No. 1 op. 23, Felix Mendelssohn’s Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 3, and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2 at the Gasteig Kulturzentrum for the Performing Arts and Cultural Center. Heras-Casado’s last recording with the Freiburger Barockorchester and Alexander Melnikov was Beethoven’s Triple Concerto for the Harmonia Mundi label.
