Debut at the Boulez Saal

On November 9, Pablo Heras-Casado makes his debut at the Pierre Boulez Saal and conducts a programme spanning works from the 18th to the 20th centuries with the Staatskapelle Berlin. Selections include Schönberg’s Chamber Symphony No. 2, Op. 38; Stravinsky’s Concerto for Piano and Wind Instruments with Bulgarian pianist Plamena Mangova; and Haydn’s Symphony No. 103 in E-flat Major, Hob.I 103 (“The Drumroll”). This concert is featured as part a 3-performance series the Staatskapelle is presenting at the venue this season, in collaboration with an acclaimed roster of guest conductors and soloists.
