Summer Season Finale with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s

Pablo Heras-Casado returns to New York’s Caramoor Festival this summer, to lead the Orchestra of St. Luke’s in the season-ending finale concert on July 30. This will be Mr. Heras-Casado’s final engagement with the OSL as Principal Conductor, as he has now been named the Orchestra’s first-ever Conductor Laureate. The Caramoor concert features a vibrant programme highlighting works from the Romantic era, including Liszt’s Les préludes and Piano Concerto No. 2 in A Major, with pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet as soloist, as well as Schumann’s Symphony No. 2 in C Major, Op. 61. There will also be a pre-performance conversation at Caramoor with Mr. Heras-Casado and Mr. Thibaudet hosted one hour prior to the concert; more details can be found via Caramoor.org.

Heras-Casado and Thibaudet have collaborated on several occasions in the past, a highlight being their 2015 concert with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl:  “… Heras-Casado surrounded Thibaudet’s familiarly crystalline style in an orchestral setting of clean modernity.” (LA Times)
