Tour with the Freiburger Barockorchester

Pablo Heras-Casado and the Freiburger Barockorchester will bring Schubert to a Viennese and German stage in May with guest performances in Hamburg, Wiesbaden, Cologne, and Freiburg presenting a program with Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (with singers and narrator) and Schubert’s Sixth Symphony. They will continue their Schubert recordings with a release of the Unfinished on harmonia Mundi and a tour together. In 2012, they began their joint, intense, and extremely productive collaboration with twelve joint albums. For their first CD, they recorded Franz Schubert’s Symphonies 3 and 4, launching Heras-Casado’s ‘Die Neue Romantik’ series with harmonia Mundi. Their second Schubert CD, featuring Symphonies 5 and 7, The Unfinished, will be released on June 23.
