Masterpieces of the 20th Century: Pablo Heras-Casado Conducts Stravinsky and Berio in Rome

Pablo Heras-Casado returns to Rome to conduct three concerts next March 9, 10, and 11 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica. He will conduct the Orchestra e Coro dell’Accademia di Santa Cecilia in a program with masterpieces of the 20th century featuring Berio’s ‘Sinfonia’, with the award-winning vocal ensemble Theatre of Voices, and Stravinsky’s ‘The Rite of Spring’ and ‘The Firebird’. ‘Sinfonia’ premiered on October 10, 1968, with Berio itself conducting. The two last pieces are considered to be some of Stravinsky’s most iconic and groundbreaking compositions.
