Opens the year conducting Bruckner Symphony No. 9 at the Auditorio Nacional de Música with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid. Debut at Teatro alla Scala with Mozart’s Don Giovanni. Conducts L’Orfeo for the first time at the Wiener Staatsoper. Tour with Anima Eterna with Bruckner’s 7 Symphony; Spanish premiere of the piano concerto by Mason Bates with the Orquesta y Coro Nacionales de España; a concert with Renaud Capuçon and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France; Conducts the second act of Wagner’s Parsifal in Milan. Celebrates 27 years on the podium. Closes the year with the Concerto di Natale at Teatro alla Scala.
