Pablo Heras-Casado Conducts Rijnvos World Premiere at the Concertgebouw

On April 9 Pablo Heras-Casado will conduct the world premiere of Richard Rijnvos’ Amérique du Sud, commissioned by NTR ZaterdagMatinee, leading the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw

The orchestral work by Rijnvos forms the sixth part of Grand Atlas, a cycle in which each of the seven world continents is depicted in an orchestral composition, and will be the first part of the program including two masterpieces by Falla Nights in the Gardens of Spain, with pianist Bertrand Chamayou, and Dvořák Symphony No. 9.

The concert will be broadcast live at 2 PM on NPO Radio 4.
