The program for both concerts, in Milan and Turin, includes the Italian premiere of Aventures by Finnish composer Magnus Lindberg and the First Symphony in C minor, Op. 68, by Johannes Brahms. In the first part, they will perform Aventures, a work composed in 2013 that intertwines musical references from Mozart to Stravinsky passing through Beethoven, Berlioz, and Sibelius, which will conclude with the First Symphony Brahms, written in 1876 and inspired also by Beethoven. The first concert will close the festival’s edition in Milan and will be held at the Teatro Dal Verme, the following day they will offer the same program at the Auditorium Giovanni Agnelli – Lingotto in Turin. Heras-Casado will return to Milan in March 2022 to make his debut at the Teatro alla Scala with Mozart’s Don Giovanni in a production by Robert Carsen.
