“Triple Concerto” Gramophone Editor’s Choice: April 2021

The latest recording Beethoven: Triple Concerto & Piano Trio Op. 36 (Symphony No. 2) has been awarded Gramophones Editor’s Choice in the April 2021 issue. The album performed alongside soloists violinist Isabelle Faust, cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras and pianist Alexander Melnikov and conducted by Pablo Heras-Casado alongside the Freiburger Barockorchester received this recognition by editor Martin Cullingford. The Triple Concerto album was recorded in June 2020 and the Gramophone team described it as “collaborative music at its most brilliant” and chose it as one of the very best new recordings.
