Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra 2014

This week Pablo Heras-Casado conducts the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, leading the esteemed ensemble in four performances with guest violinist Janine Jansen (February 12, 13, 16 – Amsterdam; February 15 – Rotterdam). Pablo – who debuted with the Dutch orchestra in 2012 – returns with a program that opens with Shostakovich’s Festive Overture, followed by Szymanowski’s First Violin Concerto with Jansen. The Spanish conductor rounds out the program with Sibelius’s Second Symphony.
