Pablo Heras-Casado steps in for Nézet-Séguin with Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks October 5, 6

Pablo Heras-Casado will conduct the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks on October 5 and 6, stepping in for Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who is indisposed. The Friday and Saturday concerts will include Britten’s Four Sea Interludes – part of the British composer’s opera Peter Grimes – Schumann’s Symphony No. 4, and Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante featuring violinist Christian Tetzlaff and violist Antoine Tamestit.

Listen live to Pablo’s concert on Friday, October 5. The program will be broadcast from 20:03 on BR-Klassik on the air  and streaming online.

These concerts mark Pablo’s third appearance with the orchestra this year. The Spanish conductor made his debut with the BRSO in January and returned in June to conduct Mendelssohn’s Lobgesang Symphony. The latter was recorded for release on Harmonia Mundi in Spring 2013.
