Heras-Casado makes Salle Pleyel debut with Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France

Following a successful debut with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra earlier this month, Pablo Heras-Casado returns to Paris to lead the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France in a program of Beethoven and Berg on March 11.

This performance marks the Spanish conductor’s debut at the Salle Pleyel, one of Paris’s premier concert halls. For Beethoven’s Fifth Piano Concerto, popularly known as the “Emperor” concerto, the soloist will be the renowned pianist Rudolf Buchbinder. Berg’s Fünf Orchesterlieder, or Altenberg Lieder, will be sung by soprano Christiane Oelze.
