Heras-Casado follows “Nixon” in Toronto with debut in Indianapolis

After making his North American operatic conducting debut in the Canadian Opera Company’s production of “Nixon in China,” Pablo Heras-Casado travels to the U.S. to make another debut, this time with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.

For these concerts on March 4 and 5, Heras-Casado has programmed John Adams’s Lollapalooza, Saint-Saëns’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Copland’s Second Symphony, and Debussy’s La Mer.  The performances will be held at the Hilbert Circle Theater and the soloist for the Saint-Saëns will be the renowned pianist Ingrid Filter.
