Today Deutsche Grammophon and Archiv Produktion release Pablo Heras-Casado’s label debut album: El Maestro Farinelli, music highlighting the impact of the legendary 18th-century castrato, who served as impresario and court musician to the kings of Spain. The release sees Pablo leading Concerto Köln and countertenor Bejun Mehta in vocal and instrumental repertoire by Baroque composers such as Hasse, Porpora, and Jomelli. El Maestro Farinelli features eight world premiere recordings.
The new release continues Pablo’s commitment to discovery through music, bringing over four years of Pablo’s exploration into Farinelli’s legacy full circle with a debut recording for Archiv Produktion.
