BRSO Critical Acclaim

Critics have praised Pablo’s performances with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks this past weekend in Munich. Andreas Pernpeintner of Süddeutsche Zeitung praised the musical sensibility Pablo elicited from the orchestra, admiring how “this clear-cut way of making music… works wonderfully for Mozart’s Sinfonia concertante for violin, viola and orchestra. The contours are vivid, the dynamic gestures forceful, the phrasing is hearty.”

Pablo and the BRSO’s performance of Schumann’s Fourth Symphony garnered similar praise: “The scherzo is wonderfully trenchant, the lively finale, with very distinctive dynamic contrasts in short intervals, played vividly in every nuance” (Süddeutsche Zeitung). The Münchner Merkur echoed this sentiment, writing how Pablo’s performance of the Fourth Symphony “ignited the vitality of the outer movements, formed suspenseful segues and at the same time illuminated the score discriminately and with certain instinct for the changes of light scenes. Great applause.”
