Pablo Heras-Casado conducted his last appointment of 2022, the Christmas Concert at the Teatro alla Scala, which Rai Cultura will broadcast on Saturday, December 24 at 10.50 a.m. on Rai 1, and will repeat it on Friday, December 30 at 9.15 p.m. on Rai 5. The program begins with Laudate Dominum from Mozart’s Vesperæ solennes de confessore in C major, K. 339, with the participation of soprano Caterina Sala. It is followed by Symphony No. 94 by Haydn. In the second part, Haydn’s Missa in tempore belli is performed with the Choir of Teatro alla Scala and a splendid quartet of soloists: Lauren Michelle, Annalisa Stroppa, and Giovanni Sala.
The concert will be broadcast in Italy on Dec. 24 at 10:50 a.m. on RAI 1 and on Dec. 30 at 9:15 p.m. on RAI 5. In Austria on December 26 at 11:40 a.m. on ServusTV Austria and in Germany on December 26 at 12:00 noon on ServusTV Germany.
