Monteverdi’s “L’Orfeo” is a unique work considered by many to be the real beginning of opera history. The introductory matinee to the Wiener Staatsoper premiere brings interviews with conductor Pablo Heras-Casado, director Tom Morris, and singers Georg Nigl, Kate Lindsey, and Slávka Zámečníková, who follow in the footsteps of this elemental musical event.
