Opening of the 2020/2021 season of the Reina Sofia School of Music

On October 28 and 29, Pablo Heras-Casado will conduct the Symphony Orchestra of the Reina Sofia School to celebrate Beethoven’s 250th birthday with performances at the Teatro Monumental of Madrid and the Burgos Cathedral. The first of the concerts can be seen live and free of charge at on October 28 at 7:30 PM (CEST) on the School’s YouTube channel and will later be broadcast on December 19 on La 2 of TVE, while the second will be broadcast on La 8 Burgos channel of CyLTV on October 29 at 7:00 PM (CEST).

Heras-Casado has a close relationship with the Reina Sofia School of Music and this time he will conduct the spectacular ‘Concert for violin, piano, and cello in C Major, Op.56’, better known as the ‘Triple Concerto’ and the ‘Fifth Symphony’, one of the most famous compositions of the genius from Bonn.

Pablo Heras-Casado will reach almost one hundred performances of Beethoven throughout his career, during which he has recorded several albums including the Ninth Symphony, Choral Fantasy, and the complete Piano Concertos and Triple Concerto.
