‘El Público’ from the Teatro Real now available on Blu-ray/DVD

A new Blu-ray/DVD release which captured the world premiere of Sotelo’s opera El Público is now available for purchase via Amazon.com. Pablo Heras-Casado leads the Klangforum Wien and the Chorus of the Teatro Real in a production by Robert Castro and designed by Alexander Polzin, filmed at the Teatro Real in March of 2015. The opera, based on the play by renowned Spanish dramatist Federico García Lorca, reflects its surrealist context and is a “vivid and imaginative” (Opera News) musical dramatization.
